Boat Detailing in Regina
Gelcoat polishing, waterline ring removal, interior deep cleans, and UV protection — for fishing boats, ski boats, and pontoons across Regina and the Qu'Appelle lakes. If it floats, we detail it.
Prairie lakes are hard on a boat
Between Last Mountain, Buffalo Pound, and the Qu'Appelle lakes, Saskatchewan boats work hard all summer — and show it. Sun bakes the gelcoat until it chalks and fades, the waterline collects a scum ring that ordinary soap won't touch, and every launch grinds grit into the deck and upholstery. Then it all sits under a cover for seven months.
Boat detailing is the reset: a proper wash and decontamination, oxidation polished out of the gelcoat, protection applied so next season's sun and water have something to fight other than your finish, and an interior cleaned down to the storage compartments.
- Oxidized, chalky gelcoat polished back to gloss
- Waterline scum ring and mineral staining removed
- Vinyl seats and marine carpet deep-cleaned
- Mildew and musty-storage smells addressed
- UV protection for the season ahead
What a boat detail covers
Hull and topsides. Full wash and decontamination, waterline ring removal, and machine polishing to cut oxidation and bring the gelcoat's colour and gloss back.
Deck and cockpit. Non-skid scrubbed, compartments cleaned out, hardware and trim detailed.
Interior. Vinyl and upholstery cleaned and conditioned, marine carpet shampooed, storage areas emptied of a season's worth of lake.
Protection. A protective coating over the corrected gelcoat — the same correct-first, protect-second order we apply to paint — so the shine survives the water instead of lasting one weekend.
Spring launch or fall storage — both are the right time
The two best moments to detail a boat: before launch, so you start the season protected and looking right — and before storage, so grime, waterline staining, and damp don't spend all winter setting into the gelcoat and upholstery. If your boat is going under a cover soon, that's not a reason to wait; it's the reason to book.
Trailers get attention too — it all rolls into the same visit.
Why Regina boaters choose Stelter Solutions
We're a Regina-owned shop at 1560 McAra St with a 5.0★ rating across 200+ Google reviews — and if it rolls, rides or floats, we've detailed it. Boats are quoted individually by size and condition, because a 14-foot fishing boat and a wakeboard boat with a season of scum line are very different jobs. Call (639) 739-7789 or send us a note and we'll come back with a straight quote.
While it's here, pair the boat with a full detail on the tow vehicle — or ask about polish and ceramic protection for either one.
How much does boat detailing cost in Regina?▾
Boats are quoted individually — length, condition, and how much oxidation or interior work is involved all change the job. Call or message us with the boat's size and a photo or two and we'll quote it straight.
Can you remove the chalky, faded look from my gelcoat?▾
Usually, yes. That chalkiness is oxidation — the sun breaking down the gelcoat's surface — and machine polishing cuts it back to restore colour and gloss. Deep, long-neglected oxidation takes more stages; we assess before we quote.
Do you clean boat interiors — seats, carpet, storage?▾
Yes. Vinyl seats cleaned and conditioned, marine carpet shampooed, compartments and cupholders cleaned out, and musty storage smells addressed — the whole cockpit, not just the shiny parts.
When should I book — spring or fall?▾
Both work. Pre-launch means starting the season clean and protected; pre-storage means winter doesn't get seven months to set stains and damp into the boat. The worst option is neither.
Do I need to bring the trailer too?▾
The boat comes on the trailer, and the trailer's welcome to get cleaned up in the same visit — just mention it when we quote.
